Play Your Cards Right

May 4th, 2020 + 2:05 PM  ·  Kine

It's crazy to look back at my old recordings and see how much I have improved. When I posted my first song here at BandAmp (I think it was in 2006)  I was only 14 or 15 years old. But even though my songs were rough and very unpolished I remember how kind and supportive this community was (and still is). So thanks for all the kind words and musical help you have given me over the years.

All my love to you guys.

Peace In Your Soul

April 28th, 2020 + 3:04 AM  ·  Kine

It's been a while since the last time I posted a song here. So I thought I'd post one of my new songs. I usually play the guitar, but when I wrote this one it felt like a piano song. And since I don't have a piano (or keyboard), I had to "play piano" on my PC. I'm not really good with programming stuff so I was surprised that I managed to get it right. I hope you can ignore the fake piano sound enough to enjoy the uplifting lyrics.

Wake Up

April 25th, 2013 + 8:04 AM  ·  Kine

Lyrics:

Wake up. You've got several fields to plow.
You need to smell the roses now,
before you die.
Look around; Innocense is far too young.
What the hell have we become?
Shame on us.

What will our kids play with?
We have gone too far.
Give them back their childhood,
and they will find their freedom.

She wakes up. Put's the make-up on her face.
Spends some time in cyberspace
with all her friends.
Then on she goes. Off to school, it's time to go.
It's frightening how fast they grow
nowadays.

What will our kids play with?
We have gone too far.
Give them back their childhood,
and they will find their freedom.

Honestly; I started drinking at an early age.
But kids who grow up nowadays
are worse than I.
How can this be? Well TV shows 'em what to do.
And the only music they're listening to
is "party songs".

What will our kids play with?
We have gone too far.
Give them back their childhood,
and they will find their freedom.
